Apatow's got sentimentality and zeitgeist down, but not humor. I did dig 'Freaks and Geeks,' due largely to the presence of a truly funny actor, Joe Flaherty.
SNL became amusing this past fall not because their 'satire' of Palin was funny (really, Palin did all the work), but because it was gruesome watching that zombie of a show try and pretend it was still relevant.
